By my window Hope’s heart beats as
I sip alone and wonder
At how
gray clouds cover the smiling sun and icy rains thunder
Yet nothing dims my
love lit passion for Karla Kay.
My warm fingers interlace the golden hair
about her face,
And my breath is vented on her
cherry scented cheek
As her candy flavored lips my ember
kisses seek.
She speaks to me of love like the
ancients sought in Venus
While her lingering touch and my
desire bring up in us
A heavenly passion that even a ten
thousand cherubim choir
Could never on their
sea of glass inspire.
So blessed are we and so well do I
know it, does she?
How do I tell her that my heart
cannot be free
While held by her charm, that her
love has made of me
One who would carry fire and endure
the marathon
Of fidelity and swear to uphold
Love’s torch always if she
Would be wedded to me until and
beyond the trumpet call?
How do I keep her love for the
remainder of our earthly days?
How do I ask her to again agree to be my
faithful one always?
Perhaps she will see in a vision of
the night,
As her restless souls
encounters in flight
A glimpse into the future where
enamored us prevail,
Where
Love's great might is proven right and true
When vows founded on Faith are made
anew
As Love tears the veil and all walls
between us fall.
Has not one greater than we paid
forgiveness’ supreme price
And secured redemption by superhuman
sacrifice
That we might love each other
evermore and be as one?
I pray she be with me again before
this day is done.
