So Come With Me
I want quiet moments alone with you
I want to caress your face and hold you gently
I want to kiss you and hear your dovelike voice
Surrendering soul secrets and sighing
In the midnight hours that can so glow
As to make you feel my heart's flame.
Yours is the hour I share with no other,
Yours is the silver laughter in our space,
And mine is the whispered melody
When you speak to me of what can be.
I want it to be as when you came to me,
In the summer nights of restless skies,
When I first dreamt of the beauty in your eyes.
