Forever
Kisses more tender than the Lily’s
bloom or the dew
That alights on the rose are those I
gave you
In the quiet times of sheltered
spaces,
When your hot tears were salty on my
lips,
When my torn heart bled for whatever
years
I swore I'd never share with you,
For Passion’s cup spilt on the
burning sands,
For the missing gems on your loving
hands,
For the child we never knew.
In His eternal firmament He holds a
spark
Of living gold, the flower of a soul
He called,
An eternal moment of a love He gave
us,
A vision of infinity which may yet
unfold
Before our eyes, for immortality’s
scroll
After this journey will unroll.
Caresses more gentle than morning
mist on the sea,
Than the candle lights in the
champagne nights you gave me,
In silhouetted moments your soft form
sweetly drew
While blissful fingers blissful
figures knew.
Love of my life, beautiful Karla
Kay,
I pray that your presence again may
Grace the space of my nights and
days
Or for the duration of another kiss,
Or forever if God could Will
That you love me again as I love you
still.
