Gold, Oil, & Wine
The seal on me has no power but you
do.
I have saved the sweetest wine for
you.
Please let me fill your cup, my
darling.
My dear, my doll, my beautiful one,
My trembling but tireless
outstretched hand
Offers you the priceless gift of
Love
To warm the coldest night, to ignite
The clay from which our Lord has
made
Such perfect breathing beauty as you
Perchance could forget but let me
believe
I yet possess the spark that softens
Your heart to grant me warmth.
I wish to raise a spirit rainbow
flower,
Invisible to all but you and me
forever.
From the hidden seed I keep like
manna
Our God can resurrect what once we
knew.
There is no force that can separate
What God Himself has for us made.
Come let your fingers and mine
entwine
In a renewal of our vows this time.
I will share the gold, the oil, the
wine,
And everything , for you are worth
it all,
Sweet flesh of my flesh, let your
starry eyes
Shine celestial love upon me again.
Be one with me as we are one with
Him,
Who alone can bring us together.
More than a poem, this is a
prayerful reverie.
My our Lord Jesus confirm my
sincerity,
And may He bring us together forever.
