In Praise of
Devotion
How you move is a song to me,
Your eyes dancing always,
Your graceful and smooth
Style of motion is gentle yet firm,
Like the waves of an ocean.
You seek perfection
With such devotion
That my admiration is but natural.
Once I saw flowers
Swaying in the wind,
Resisting the pull yet also free.
I saw birds swoop over the meadow,
Gliding like ships on glassy surf.
I look on you and I see living art,
I see sculpture and I see song
And you capture the colors
To which these belong.
You are like the rainbow in my sky,
Toward which I feel my spirit fly.
I long to be as one with you,
So reach for me as I reach for you.

Spring 2000
This is not a new song at posting in December 2003, but I just found it among old notes. Thought I'd share it with you.
