The
Unveiling of the Jewels of Dawn
Dress yourself in white as the dawn does for the night
And approach me now as if to make a vow of surrender.
Your eyes are shaped like the pearls God made
When he colored the conch with rainbow shades.
I love to see the morning's light return when you rise,
To witness the unveiling of the jewels of dawn,
When you sigh and stir and open your clear eyes.
Your kiss is tender and your silky touch adorns
My portrait of passion and fiery oranges and lipstick red
Reflect the hues I love on you in summer.
You are the world's greatest wonder to me for you
Capture the essence of the magical moon when she
The clearest sky waters imbues with silver hues
While shading the vaulted depths of a starry sea.
Diana is drawing and uplifting my charcoal stardust form.
So do you too lift me to a higher place by your grace.
Stay a while longer in my arms you vision of delight,
Kiss me now for you are mine and time knows not never.
Though tomorrow may come do love me now as if forever.
