Love, Act II: Poem for a Girlfriend, Wife, and Mistress by Vicente Reyes

Love, Act 2: Poem for a Girlfriend, Wife & Mistress

Woman of unrivaled charm and sculpted form superior to Venus,
You are the queen of my pantheon of beauties

    for though I have kisses
Touching Memory

like a wave of freshly flower perfumed summer breezes
In the Autumn, when the early chills of Winter but prickle the joints,
Not a single rosebud plucked yesterday

compares to your garden of eternal Beauty. Ah,
You are the essence of feminine charm

and my sharp naked sword you alone may disarm.
I do not feel a sunset leave me cold in the forbidden regions of desolation,
Where the shadow of your turning is taking the darkening moon out of tune,
Where there is not a lift of your arklike lips and cherubim eyes flashing
The most beautiful dawn's light as they flash with Desire and Love

    (but what Desirous Love!)
Together engaged in ethereal dance of flesh and spirit

Expressed in bloodheat's heavings
That fill midnights and noons with cathedral frescos of imagination

    Or like a theatre romance
When the warmth of your smoothly weathered

and suffered talented fingers and a ring,
Hard as a blooming Canterbury Library International Tree

    In the throbbing fragrant Spring
(Modesty is a virtue, they say, and lets say for a moment that they are right),
Are embraced by my glowing fingertips

as my tingling hands twinkle like the milky way.
I tease you with words of Love flowing

like a waterspout in the warm wee hours.
Let me please you with my kisses in the heart of your desires.
Ooh Madonna of long haired hours and clearjet chocolate eyes,
Framed by such fair and so sweetly rare enflamed creamy skin,
Such blushing beauty in peachy cheeks

framed by your honey hair's flowing style,
Your Beauty I caress and your lovingness confess

when your kisses of desire I devour,
Like a thirsty wolf with hungry heart and the determination of Thor I hammer
And hammer and in unbridled joy drink lustfully at the fountain of our Love;

Your sweet halo
Like a fertile field I return to you multiplied

and sublimated in the heart God gave me,
The poet's heart that beats so longingly for you,

    you tender flower, juicy morsel.
Woman of wide eyed charismatic bliss,

your sighs and kisses are sweeter than violets.
Your face glows with more grace than the rose and I love you ever more
Than ever I loved any woman before,
With a love you can hold in your hand and let me feel you understand
That although we do not cage the wind we breathe it out and in again.
Love, you I do keep in my heartbeat as when away

and my hands weave the hours
And the days and projects grow like towers in the blueprint of my mind.
In Babylon there is a place for us and kissing trees are everywhere.
We cast off uniformity when our immortal spirits sparkle and reach for each other
In the city fog or beneath the country stars,

Where our bodies are caressed by morning winds.
My time with you is such that it passes all too rapidly

    but I treasure the moments
Like jewels, like diamonds, like rubies, like kisses, like the light in your eyes,
Your eyes, your beautiful beautiful chocolate eyes.
Please smile for me, my lovely Love, kiss me, love me, hold me Love.
My love your kisses my soul so misses you are all I'm thinking of!
