A Love Letter
When shall I have the honor of basking in your charm?
Your beauty shines in your gentle eyes, your graceful form,
Your musical walk, your sweet voice.
How can one be so enticing?
All of the women in the world would be thankful
If they had but a touch of your glow--
If only for one hour!
You are the Eastern rainbow on the Sea.
The storms of sorrow that once saddened your eyes are passed.
I feel the lightness and warmth of your Joy
Brighten my heart into a smile we share.
You are an oasis of peace.
Ancient sands of mankind's suffering wore and tore at my soul,
Yet in your eyes I find the most refreshing spirit.
And how can I describe it? If I were an artist could I draw it?
If I am singing can I find the voice?
I see you aspire but how do I show or tell you you inspire
To greater and higher things by your very essence?
IS this what the poets call love? Or desire?
I see you like the most wonderful and precious one.
You possess a loveliness of person and presence
That is absolutely irresistible.
Please make  t i m e  t o  b e  with me,
All I want t o  d o is be with you.
