Make Bloom the Emerald

Your eyes are deeper than the evergreen forest,

     oh precious Pearl, do

Ignite the white tallow candles in your fireplace

and as I sit holding you

Tell me in your whispered rapid voice

about your city adventures and who

It is who dares to stand between you

and the Olympian fire you seek.

You are a warrior princess;

I am the hairy mountain medicine man

With balms for your smooth and firm delightful body,

     yes my hand

Searches each valley and hill

for every remedy for any ill and yet

It is to your fire lit cave

where I return with firewood to place again

In the space where candles stood

in tender glow the rekindling spark

That once shared between us

calls for high living flames in the night.

Let the chilly room in the afternoon gloom

    fade into the shadows,

Let the orange glow of the firelight

warm our feet and let me tickle you

Till you giggle like a child in sweet delight

(and I do cherish your smile).

You came to me in a winter night

when I sought shelter from the rain,

When your cave was cold

and I was a stranger in the forest but one

Who set out to bring you fire

like Prometheus from above and our love

Became a shared dream

and a rising plume that to heaven did scream

Though silently,

that the love we made by the power of our dreams

Was forever etched on the walls

as a testimony unto the very rocks

That for one brief glowing moment

a man and a woman did touch

And their souls filled the space

with a bonfire of delight and heaven

Witnessed the exchange of spirit power

as if in one eternal hour all

That was ever created was

but the manifestation of primordial love.

You said no no we must not

but in the heartbeats that followed you

Took my hand and led me to your furry lair

where like a ship at sea

I laid down on your gentle waves and sailed

in search of pleasures that could come

To pass and I did decree

that we let it be as I gave myself to you

And you gave yourself to me,

from the height of a mountain unto

The depths of your swirling sea.

Now holy waters from the sky caress

The hills as I hold you,

gentle princess warrior child oh beautiful one.

Then slumber by the fire

as I kiss your naked shoulders and wet hair.

Waken me with kisses from your tender lips

and let me see the sunrise

Make bloom the emerald and gold

of your once starlit eyes, sweet treasure.

Your beauty and smile fill the journeyed day's weather

with the scent of your subtly fragrant lilac oil,

Surpassing in grace and style even plucked heather

and soft meadow flowers from the mother soil.
