Dear friend, . I have in recent years devoted some energy to romantic love poetry, such as you find on the rest of this website -- yet in all poets there is a primordial gut desire to speak with God. Along these lines I devoted my first website design efforts in the 1900s at posting the original 10 Meditations God gave me. I believe we should always give our first fruits unto the Lord, and therein lies the seed of blessing. After reflection on what we face in our daily walk before God, I decided to share the following new poem as an invitation to read others the Lord inspired me to also share. Here then is another fruit, in celebration of our Faith, for though the enemy seeks to pour us an evil cup and persecute us to silence us, we shall be fortified against all evil forces in the sweetness of His presence. Let our prayers rise like incense before Him, for to Him our thoughts are indeed a sweet scent. Let us not rest until our minds and hearts are as one with God in this life,  and when our journey is done we shall find our reward. Let us not forget, as an American President (JFK) once said, that we seek His blessing always remembering that here on earth God's work must truly be our own. Let us love each other, yet let us fulfill the greatest commandment and forever love our Lord God above all else.

Meditation XI

Oh Lord fill my being as I lift my hands unto heaven,

augment the Divine spark implanted in my spirit

from the moment You first forged my soul,

and pounded it pure on your anvil of stars.

Increase Your shield around me for the enemy

toils to attack us for our love of Your Holy Name.

The planet is a battlefield for the souls of men

but You are the Lord of Lords and King of Kings,

and You shall prevail over the dark gates of hell.

You fill Your servants with the love of Justice

And they walk in the robe of Your righteousness.

Yes the legions of the opposition have rallied,

they have built a tower of deception unto heaven,

but like in Babel they shall find no glory.

For as the Master said, a house built on sand

cannot the tide’s advance withstand.

Break their path with their own devices, Lord.

Let not Your Truth be dissolved as their smoke is,

for great is the fire that consumes them,

Such is Your Word when You speak, dear God;

Please come to the defense of Your people.

Whatever gifts we have placed at Your feet,

even unto our very lives, are as nothing before You,

for the created can give nothing to the Creator.

But unto us You are everything, for You are our God.

You have filled our hearts with the light of Your Son.

Let not them who mock us say that You have forgotten

Your flock when attacked by the wolf.

Please bring peace unto the nations and to the life

of each tender heart that calls Your Name in pain.

Let a hungry world see Your Grace and Love and Power.

Oh my Lord please be with us now and forever. Amen.
