Meditation XII

I am wealthy beyond measure as I breathe
air in which thrives the sub-atomic lightning.
You raise my innermost being with glowing beams
forged by your hammer in the fieriest furnace.
In streams within solitude's dreams I think about
Your omniscient Mind, Your omnipresent Spirit,
Your omnipotent Will,
from which the universes dangle
like raw canvas paint dabs born in the artist’s vision
from a seed in Your words, oh God please hear me,
I sing the prayer scroll woven like linen fingers into the wind.
On the salty rinsing sands of a foamy feathered shore,
Like diamond bubbles merging we shine unto each other.
In hard onyx nights your look reflects a soft diamond light.
Open your eyes, more wondrous than twin suns or moons,
the blessed gold and silver rays that embrace us.

We are one in the light, free as the wind and sun,
encircling the earth we stand upon.
Dear God, thank you for the sight
of the glow within the night.
How can we ever express this love,
though we were blessed with words like stars
and building blocks of cosmic fire?
Show my soul your stairway of solid light,
Stretched forever over the canopy tightly,
Let us eternally dance as we do in the breeze
Praising in song the Prince of Peace.
Lord, lead my spirit to the holy center of Life’s light,
Though bound once before now free again forever in Christ.
