When I Dream of the Light
Love does not leave though I’ve
run so far.
Your eyes are ever-present in my dreams.
In dreams your fair face and
passionate embrace
Quickens my pulse, Sweet One.
I caress the East wind that may kiss
Your honey hair that I so miss.
I bless sweet waters that would show
Your beauty aglow when you are near.
Your loveliness is like the potion
of some
Enchantress blending rays of moon
and sun.
When I dream of the light in your
eyes
My mind gently clasps your pictured
image
And God how I wish you were here!
The distance between us is worse
than a curse,
The time since I kissed you a thorn
That could pierce the years and a
thousand tears
Would not blur the longing I feel
for you,
Madonna of my undying love and
passion.
My teeth clench and my insides grind
To think I was such a madman as to
allow
Fate’s intervention to cast its
shadow on us.
Us, yes, us, oh let us be again
together.
Let our souls kiss and hearts be
one,
Let Love’s light reunite as even
moon and sun do.
Life is but a day and so empty
without you.
The night of the soul is like love
unspoken
So please do not let the circle be
broken.
Come share God’s eternity with me.
