Yes, Yes, Yes
I place my words like bouquets in
Love's hands
Like a sailor lays hopes on the winds of chance.
May God's Will direct by blessed circumstance
Your eyes to see my shining polished soul,
Your heart to desire the tides of Love's highest hour,
To fathom the ardor in my glimmering eyes.
In my time you are the most radiant flower
Or like the most brilliant star in the sky
By which I direct my quivering sights,
Toward whom I reach as if to capture colors
Weaving on the wind like spirit treasure
More precious than jewels or gold can measure.
I want to share the sextant measure of life with you,
What horizonless sunwind and earthwater bring
In love's exciting and fiery Spring.
I want your voice to linger in my air,
Your walk to sway for my eyes today,
Your smile to frame my nautical dreams tonight,
If I can against a tempest claim such honor.
Come be my mate is but a whispered sigh,
Don't shipwreck my heart by no reply.
Please fight the storm that would pull apart
A blessed union that such joy gives and can give,
Oh lovely lady, in this hour while we both live.
Your lips my name speak as your kiss my lips crave.
Respond to me, is Beauty brave?
Our Lord calms the waves and my heart's ship saves,
So I seek a moment more of you, you, you,
