You I Kiss
I cherish the beauty of you in front of me.
These are words I whisper to the Eastern wind today
while you’re away.
Hasten, hurry, come quickly,
return on the crest of morning and in time
I shall seem to forget the empty hours when
I in the night sought your kiss,
But you were far from my reach
so in my anguish I called your name.
The moon hid her face behind quilted clouds
and I awoke seeking comfort.
I sought refuge in tea
Yet the windy sky of fluffy velvet clouds enticed
my eyes to reach for your form in the stars.
In silky soaking sands your silhouette I traced.
You are the vision I saw long ago,
on a pink foamed beach beneath sparkling Venus.
The waves undulate with a diamond sheen
and they shake with Neptune’s roar.
I hold you close beside me
on this raging shore as tonight and time seem
endlessly winding from joy’s pleasure to more.
In twilight’s emerald forest I call you honey
sweeter than any ever and still,
on the fluttering wind the moment goes free,
like the night across the crystal skies will,
like when the lacey icy clouds melt at morn,
like when our love rises and I hold fast in delight.
I love the diamond glow in your happy eyes
as whispering tides rise on the whistling breeze.
Your laughter's magic moves me - as for your hands I reach,
and barefoot on the sands of this ivory beach - you I kiss.
